Doris Geneva (Journey) Carter, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 in Nashville. Doris was born in Pulaski on May 24, 1939 to the late Eris and Louise (Collins) Journey. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Read Obituary
I’ve known Jimmie and Doris since 1970. I worked with Doris at Vanderbilt and Park View. We kept in touch from time to time, usually at Christmas. I’m so sad to just learn Doris passed away in May. Jimmie and Doris were wonderful Christian people and consistently lived out their faith. They have left a lasting legacy. But I am sorry to lose my friend. My sincere condolences to the family.
One of the Special Memories, Landon and I have of Ms Doris was when She and Jimmy came to our home on Easter Sunday to visit have Easter Lunch with us and our Family!
We enjoyed their time in our home and their visit!!

Mrs. Doris was my Adopted Mom when I was in college, and I have fond memories of our time together. She and Mr. Jimmie did our wedding reception. They hosted my family the weekend of the ceremony. Although we were miles apart, we were always able to connect on Mother’s Day. So grateful Mrs. Doris is united with her beloved Mr. Jimmie.
