I just noticed this page and I wanted to let Lance, Toby and Drew know how much we'll all miss Melinda. She had such a wonderful, dry sense of humor! She could make the smallest comment on something and we would have tears in our eyes from laughing so hard! Lea and I enjoyed playing on Uncle Joe's softball team with her, too. She was a good athlete, musician, mother, wife and cousin. I'll continue to pray for Lance and the boys and all her family.

Melinda is my first cousin. She is a little younger than me, and we were not really close because of the age factor and the distance between our homes, but I always have admired her pretty smile and wonderful friendliness. She is always ready to be a friend to anyone, always very pleasant to talk to, and has such a great musical gift. A true Christian woman. Modest and lovely!
I know that she and other Rutherfords ( and even new friends) are enjoying making beautiful music in Heaven!!
I went to Long Hollow Baptist Church with Melinda years ago. She played the organ and was extremely good at playing the organ.
Lance, Toby, Drew and rest of the family you all will be in my prayers in the days assnd months to come. Heaven gained another angel.
