My late husband Nolland Cottrell and I lived across the street from Allen for many years. He and Sarah were fine neighbors. Nolland and Allen were both "big talkers" and enjoyed many chats. I taught French at Hunters Lane High School at that time, and I had Allen's granddaughter Jennifer in my class. She was a lovely young lady and a fine student. She and I are Facebook friends and it is so nice to still be in contact with her.
