To view the livestream of Mr. Walden's service, click here. Jack Wade Walden, age 88, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 in Tri-Star Centennial Hospital after an extended illness. He was a native of Davidson County and attended Metro Nashville Public Schools. In 1950, he was married to the former Miss Sadie June Brassell, who survives. Mr. Walden worked for Ford Glass Plant for over 30 years and retired in 1990. Mr. Walden was a member of Inglewood Baptist Church. Jack was a "Daring Man", Army paratrooper, water skier, race car driver, etc. He also liked to travel with his wife June. Preceded in death by his parents, Farris and Margaret Walden, brothers, Harry Walden and Ronald Walden. He is survived by his wife; three sisters, Mrs. Betty Wright, Mrs. Barbara Thomas both of Hendersonville, Tennessee and Mrs. Patsy Odegard of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two brothers, Donald Walden (Ann) and James Walden (Jonell) both of Goodlettsville, Tennessee and one godchild, Amanda Hill. Funeral Services will be 12:00 p.m. on Thursday,January 20, 2022 at Spring Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Family will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m.-8:00p.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2022 and Thursday, January 20th from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, Tennessee 37216, 615-865-1101, www.springhillfh.com.
