Mr. James Byron Blevins

James Byron Blevins, Goodlettsville 89 passed at home on Monday, February 28, 2022 after a long but courageous fight with cancer. Born October 4, 1932, in New Middleton, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Virgil Blevins and Lorene Agee Blevins. Mr. Blevins was a graduate of East High School. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was retired from the Ford Glass Plant where he worked in quality control. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing locally at Riverside Golf Course and was known as 'Boxhead' among his golfing buddies. He will be deeply missed and loved by all. So many memories to treasure. Survived by Wife Wanda Bowman-Blevins; sons Thomas Bowman Jr, (Christy) Chris Bowman (Tina) deceased son Mark Blevins, his daughter Peyton Wade (Channing) Nieces and Nephew Debbie Briley (Danny), Sandy Adams (Chris), Joseph Adams (Anissa). Grandkids are Hunter Bowman (Autumn), Austin Bowman (Malia), Haley Bingham (Kaleb) Hannah Bowman and 5 Great-Great Grandkids along with numerous Nephews. Visitation will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Monday, March 7 from 11 am until 1 pm. A graveside service with military honors will follow at 1 pm in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
