Ms. Nova June Pursell

To view the LiveStream of June's Celebration of Life Funeral Service, please click HERE Nova June Groover Pursell- age 92 of Goodlettsville went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 8, 2022. Her precious late husband, Raymond Aubrey Pursell, preceded her in death in 2011. She was greatly loved by all of those she left behind, which includes her two daughters and their husbands; Beverly Pursell Dycus and Glenda Pursell Clark; and Michael Dycus, Sr and Don Clark. They were also blessed with five amazing grandchildren: Chandra Merryman (Mitch), Justin Orme (Tricia), Michael Dycus, Jr., Cory Dycus (Samantha), and Grady Dycus (Casey). From them would come nine wonderful great-grandchildren: Elle, Maggie, Zoe, Madelyn, Jackson, Evie, Eden, Emmaline and Ella Gray. Also left to treasure her memory is a myriad of extended family and friends. She was born in Lincoln County Tennessee to the late David and Freda Holmes Groover. In 1947, she moved from the small farming town of Elora to the big city of Nashville after graduating high school. After finding work for an attorney, she happened to meet a young man one day on a bus ride home, who had recently returned from a stent in the Marine Corps while serving in the Pacific Theater in WWII. That began a love story that continued for more than sixty years. Much of her working life was spent at Sears in downtown Nashville, where she retired. She considered Bellshire Church of God of Prophecy her church family. A heartfelt ‘Thank You’ from the family goes to her caregivers: Faye Morphis & Kim Bates; Shalonda Herbert and Christine Ozanne (Be Blessed Home Care); and all those who cared for Mom at home from Aveanna Hospice. Thank you for loving her along with us. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 13th from 4-8PM and Thursday, April 14th from 12-2PM.
