Patsy Rainey Cline
October 14, 1933 - February 5, 2022
On February 5, 2022, Patsy Rainey Cline died peacefully surrounded by family. She was born to the late George Leslie Rainey and Mattie Russell Niles in Athens, Alabama. Patsy was a beautiful spirit with the special gift of hospitality. Her greatest joy was her faith and her family, and she believed that there was always room for one more. She was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to books on tape later on in her life. She was also an active member of Madison Church of Christ, Ladies’ Bible Group (Nila’s class), and East High Alumni Association. She served as Executive Assistant at Lee Company for 20 years. She is predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband of 46 years, Billy Ramsey Cline, and special family member Jacque Benton. She is survived by her children Annita (Ray) Maddux, Corinne (Mark) Smith, Kim (Brad) Pigue, and Tracey (Danny) Wiseman; grandchildren Chris (Ashley) Maddux, Drew (Tara) Maddux, Emily (Jackson) Routh, Leslie (Russell) Pigg, Brad (Cassie) Smith, Patrick (Mikka) Evans, Courtney Wiseman, and Carter (Ashton) Wiseman; 21 great-grandchildren; and special family member Wayne Benton. A visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, February 13th, 2022 from twelve to two o’clock at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will follow at two o’clock. A private burial will take place at a later date.
