Mr. Stan Griffin

A link to the livestream of Stan's services can be found here. Stan Griffin, 79, of Lebanon, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Born August 23, 1942, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Arley Griffin and Ruth Olivia Wise Griffin. Stan served his country proudly in the Army National Guard. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene on Woodland Street. He was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to Vanderbilt football and basketball. He enjoyed being on the water, whether boating or fishing. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed dearly. He is survived by his wife Annie ‘Ruth’ Griffin, with whom he had just recently celebrated a 50th Wedding Anniversary in April; sons David (Audrey) Griffin and Daniel Griffin; grandchildren Jason Kenneth Griffin, Jonathan Ellis Griffin, and Olivia Marie Griffin; and a host of cousins and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 11, from 12 pm until 2 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service officiated by Jack Galloway will take place at 2 pm with burial following in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216. “Where Nashville Comes to Remember.”
