Loved to hear him sing. He loved my comedy as “Sistah Willie Ruth Johnson,” and would call occasionally to share a laugh. Funny thing is that he was HILARIOUS! And boy could he sing. He was proud of his musical career and sings that he wrote. He will be missed.

I have many wonderful memories of people and things I done with them in the past, but the memories I have of Calvin, and our former pastor, Elder Charlie Hooten,hunting and fishing together are truly precious memories. If. Charlie was still here he would tell us " Before we could get the word about Calvin's home going he was already present with the Lord, therefore, take you rest good friend, and I'll see you in the morning. Because as Charlie use to say "You can't do nothing until I get there anyway"

Mr. Calvin was a wonderful man. He would always attend our church in the Templow community when we called on him, until his health declined. He love singing for the Lord. He was loved by so many and will truly be missed. That beautiful smile and love for others will always be remembered. To God be the Glory. He loved and cared about so many, and he was truly loved. God bless his family and all that loved him.
