Mr. Calvin James Linzy's Obituary
Calvin James Linzy, age 74, of Madison, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 3, 2019. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie James Linzy, Ruthie Morgan Linzy; one sister, Debra Brinson; one brother,Lenoris Linzy. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Dorothy Linzy; two daughters, Consuelo Baker, Rebecca Linzy; two sons, Dujan Kendrick (Carlee), Calvin Starks; one sister, Sheryl Linzy; eight grandchildren, Cameron Kendrick, Ethan Kendrick, Dallas Kendrick, Dimitrius Snyder, Timothy Crutcher Jr., Michael Linzy, Joe Cole, Tangela Linzy; seven great grandchildren.
Calvin enjoyed fishing, hunting and singing. He was a member of the choir at First Baptist South Inglewood where he attended for over 40 years and was also sang solos for other churches and groups in the area. He was a easy going man that never met a stranger. He loved to always stay busy, but made sure to spend plenty of time with family and friends.
Visitation and service for Calvin will be held at First Baptist South Inglewood church, 1515 Ann St, Nashville, TN 37216. Visitation will be from 5-6 PM with the service following at 6:00 PM.
