It was an absolute pleasure to take care of Doug at the James. I enjoyed getting to know both he and his son while bonding over baseball and college football. We watched a few World Series games together and he even displayed a Royals tee in his room to help cheer on my boys. These 2 kept me on my toes! Thinking of your family, sir. So glad we crossed paths.

I have served with Doug for the last 6 years at Brentwood Baptist as a Deacon. Doug and I have been on the same team for the entire tenure that I have served. I loved Doug like a brother and will miss him in his roll as a steadfast servant and as a good friend. It makes me happy to know that he is with the Lord and will spend eternity praising Him!

Doug was a terrific friend as well as a wonderfully creative graphic artist with whom I shared many projects. He was always supportive and encouraging to me and my family over the years. When Doug and I got together, inevitably the conversation turned to Vanderbilt Athletics, a subject dear to his heart. I will dearly miss him.
