Mr. Douglas R. Harris, Jr.'s Obituary
Douglas R. Harris, Jr., age 67, of Franklin, went to be with his heavenly father Tuesday, December 8, 2015. He was born October 19, 1948 in Nashville to Betty Brown Harris and the late Douglas Ray Harris, Sr. Doug and was a member of Brentwood Baptist Church where he was a Deacon for 10 years. He was the owner of Graphic Results and specialized in designing quality print materials for many national companies.
Doug will be remembered as a loving father, brother, son, cherished friend, avid Vanderbilt Commodores fan, and respected Deacon at Brentwood Baptist. He cherished his time with his Deacon team and one of his most fulfilling roles was hospital visitation to others. The service was returned by his deacon brothers, many friends and family during his battle with cancer.
He is survived by his son, Doug Harris III (Erin); daughter, TerriLynne Work (Brian); mother, Betty Brown Harris; siblings, Don Harris (Patricia), Terry Harris (Melodie) and Debbie Harris Connell (Bobby); grandchildren, Hannah Harris and Ericka Crook; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9-10 a.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A celebration of life funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Spring Hill Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Severino officiating. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery in Madison TN.
