Edith was a wonderful woman, full of love and kindness. She bowled with my Mother Alice Williams for years and years. Edith also helped to teach me to bowl. Edith became not only my friend and customer but a mentor. She was always smiling and laughing, there was never a dull moment at the Madison Bowling Alley.....I'm really going to miss this special lady. All we have is our memories and I have a lot of them with this sweet lady. May she Rest in Peace. My condolences to the family. If there is anything this family needs, I'm a phone call away. My Nanny was my hero, there will never be another soul like her she's a one of a kind. She was a true angel on earth like she is in heaven. She's definitely the best grandmother a kid could ever dream of having and I got the pleasure of having her everyday of my life. We did every thing together she took me back and forth to school and to the doctor's, we would shop and eat and wrap gifts together. I loved helping nanny cook she always had delicious pies, cakes, cookies, and hot meals daily. Anyone was always welcome. She and I used to get into trouble together 😃 we was each other's shadow for the longest she didn't go hardly anywhere without me. She had her own special bond with each and everyone of us and made us all feel as loved and as special as possible. I could go on and on about my nanny but I'll leave it at that for now If you was lucky enough to know her feel free to share your thoughts of her.

I sure do miss you and love you soooooo.. much Nanny and I have no idea how to do life without your smile and guidance but I'll do it anyways.

When I met my husband thirty seven years ago I was a little afraid to meet his mother. After all, this was her little boy even if he was fully growed. I was older than her son and was divorced. When we met, the first thing she did was to welcome me in her home and with her son. I somehow knew, this was my future. The last thing she said to me was I love you, and I knew she ment it. She asked me years ago to sing at her funeral and to sing one particular song. Tuesday afternoon I will honor her request, and I will honor the best mother in law a girl could have. I love you Edith and I will see you one day soon.
