Kathy, Ivone ‘s daughter and I were close friends from elementary school until now. I spent many days and nights at their home. Ivone was a “second mom” to me! Great memories flood my head when I think of her. She made special treats for us to eat.
Great pancakes and cookies!
She taught me to mash a banana and sprinkle it with sugar. We had bonfires in the Fall of the year
and made somores. She taught Kathy and I how to sew and make crafts. She and Mrs Stevenson were our Brownie Scout leaders. What a wonderful time we had on a field trip to “Rock City” There were many times I went to the lake with the Fleming’s and actually learned to ski. She was always patient with
Kathy and I when we put music on the record player and danced around her living room.
I regret that I had not seen her in several years and told her what she meant to me. Thank you sweet lady, I loved you dearly!❤️
