Lady Lee was a great musician in every way. Lee would come to the Merchants lunch and pick bass with us many nights. Shelby Walker and I were house musicians there. Every so often Mr. Gary Kubal would come in and I'd call him up to set in on drums so I could learn some hot licks. I love them both. Hi Gary!! I've always missed you guys since I moved down the road. T Gramm Brown said they call you que ball. Lol. Rip. We'll meet again. Peace

Lee Marks, was the greatest influence and friend of my lifetime. She was a true Angel to my life. The purest most loving and selfless person I have ever known, she was responsible for my learning to play guitar and embarking on a music career. The faith she instilled in my heart and the love of 'real' music is my greatest gift in this lifetime, other than Jesus himself. I loved her with all my heart and will miss her until we see each other again in God's kingdom. I know when she saw Jesus it was the happiest day of her life! She was a philosopher and gentle soul, who always loved EVERYONE and never judged..."Ruby" till we meet again, Anna's Daughter #1 sends you love!

One of the funniest and most interesting people I’ve ever known. I first met her in the 70s while she was performing in Mobile, and we met again in Nashville after I move there. We had a 50 year friendship, and I played music and wrote songs with her for many years. A good person, a casual philosopher and a wonderful musician and singer; I will always miss her.
