I have so many memories with my Nonnie. A funny one was when we were at uncle Bud's for Christmas one year. I was pulling up my sleeves to help with the salad, which exposed a tattoo on my arm. I never saw her move so fast. She grabbed my sleeve and pulled it down so uncle Walt wouldn't see. Funniest part is that I recently learned that uncle Walt's grandson is a tattoo artist and has a lot more ink than me!
But I think my most favorite memory was years ago when I was a new mom. I remember going to visit her a lot with my 2 little ones. We would go see uncle Walt and her and I would sit and talk while I nursed my son, Johnny. Uncle Walt would take my daughter, Kennedi, to go pick cherry tomatoes or visit with Jack and Beans next door. Such a simple memory that means the world to me. Rest in heaven Nonnie. Please give my Momma and brother a big hug from all of us!
