His presence and presentations at the recent gathering of The Academy of Spiritual Formation lighted a fire that flames in many parts of the world. As someone who met Miss Peggy only through meeting and being blessed by Robert at the Academy for Spiritual Formation last month, I offer my condolences and my heartfelt thanks for her bringing Robert into the world. May all of you experience Miss Peggy's continued presence in times of grief and times of joy, and may you know the warmth of God's loving presence, now and always.

As a college student in the early 70's I attended Bob and Peggy's Sunday School class. I remember Peggy as always gracious and of course that beautiful smile. It was some years later when we were called to Nashville First Church as Youth Pastors that Miss Peggy became my friend. She was always such an encouragement to me as a young mother. She and Bob were so gracious to keep our children so I could be involved in the youth ministry as well. An authentically honest and beautiful soul, I love you, Peggy. And thank you for always loving me!

I will miss my forever friend. So glad our paths crossed in the 70's as it started a life long friendship spanning all these decades. With her spirit my memory is filled with joy, laughter, and sorrow. I cherish the times we had together. It is so comforting to know she is at perfect peace and reunited with her loved ones, especially Bob. My prayers are with the whole family at this time.

While a pastor in Nashville during the 80's, Peggy was a good friend to the young adult group at Calvary COTN. One weekend she spoke at their retreat. I stayed home and got to clean up her BMW. Closest I ever got to owning one- ;0). Sweet lady and good friend during my time in Nashville.
What a wonderful gift "Miss Peggy" was to each of you and to all who knew her. I "knew" her only through Robert's book, published last year. Having met him at my Academy for Spiritual Formation (20), and learned to appreciate his spirit and his writing, I have read all his books. Moving Miss Peggy touched a number of memories from my own life and experience with family and friends who dealt with Alzheimer's. Please accept my condolences for your loss along with my rejoicing with Miss Peggy for what she has gained.
