Me and my husband met Roland at jam sessions with my dad Richard Hoffman then later I worked at the Old Station Inn where the friendship continued. We had alot of fun at the jam sessions singing and playing music. I just loved his family. He will be missed very very much. My love and prayers for his family.

Although I never had the fortune to meet Roland personally, I listened to so much of the music he contributed to that in a way I felt like I knew him. Some of my earliest childhood memories involve listening to Roland as a member of the Nashville Bluegrass Band. Later on I heard the recordings he made with all the other groups he was part of. No matter if he was fronting the Roland White Band or performing with someone else, he brought his own special touch to it. His mandolin style was distinctly his own. There was no mistaking it.
