Mrs. Amanda Vivian Langford Smith

Amanda Vivian Langford Smith, 92, of Hermitage, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022. Born June 28, 1929, in Gainesboro, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Amos Spurlock and Sally Yates Spurlock. Vivian was a retired Registered Nurse. She was a member of the Eleventh Street Church of Christ. Her family will remember her for her selflessness, as well as her love for dogs, chocolate and her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands Harold Daniel Langford and Carl Smith; sons Mark Daniel Langford and Scott Micah Langford; daughter-in-law Lisa Langford; brothers John William Spurlock, Olen Spurlock, Amos Spurlock, Buford Spurlock, and David Spurlock; sister Ruby Rose Carter. She is survived by her grandchildren Amanda (David) McReynolds, Charles Daniel (Karen) Langford, Katherine (Jay) Danley, and Vivian’s favorite grandchild Daniel Langford; great grandchildren Kailey, Spencer, Zoey, Colton, Isabel, Elliot, Elise, and Elijah. Visitation will take place at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville on Friday, January 28 at from 4 PM until 8 PM. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service officiated by Minister Andrew Thompson will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 29 at 12 PM. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery in Cookeville, Tennessee.
