Linda Marie Deason, 79, of Nashville, Tennessee (May 13, 1942 - January 25, 2022) She was the daughter of the late Mabel A. Lane- Deason and Francis H. Deason. She is survived by one sister, Elane Jarrett-Hunley (Preston), niece, Lori Burgett (Darryl), nephews Mark Jarrett (Marjorie), and Scott Jarrett, grandnieces, Kristen Whetstone (Tyler), Faith Moran (Jacob), Hope Brauer (Brock), Abby Eastham (Sean), and Ava Jarrett, Grandnephew, Alex Burgett (Breanne), Great grandniece, Harper Whetstone and Great grandnephew, Levi Moran. Linda earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Trevecca Nazarene College in 1968. She taught in the public school system for 31 years. Her passion was elementary aged children. She had a wonderful gift with kids. Linda was a faithful member of Nashville First Church of the Nazarene most of her life. She was a choir member and assisted in the Children’s Ministry. Her connection to her niece and two nephews was always special and they thought of her like a second mother. Linda enjoyed being a caregiver to many friends and family. She sat with many people after surgery and in nursing homes. Recently, she was a resident at Maybelle Carter Living Center and was an encouraging ambassador to all. Affectionately, most people referred to her as “Little Linda”. ***UPDATE***2/2/22* Visitation for Linda will be Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 11:30 am until1:30 pm at Nashville First Church of the Nazarene, 510 Woodland Street in Nashville. The Celebration of Life service will commence at 1:30 pm. The committal service will immediately follow, via en escorted cortege, at The Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road in Nashville.
