Mrs. Sandra Douglas Hartman age 74, passed away October 16, 2015. She was born September 1, 1941 in Nashville, to the late Hugh and Alice Douglas. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of almost 50 years, Paul H Read Obituary
Sandra was indeed a sweet an awesome Angel. Sandra had a strong desire to help families at their worst times. She was a great friend to me and always a joy to be around. Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery will truly miss her as we all will miss this precious sweet lady. Sandra, may you rest in peace and enjoy that great reunion in Heaven with your husband that you truly loved so much. God bless Sandra's family and friends.
I just found out today about your passing. My heart is truly sad that you are gone but then I realized how blessed I was to be one of the lucky ones that knew and loved you! You wore the name "Gran" like a badge of honor! I had the pleasure of working with you for over 3 years. You taught me so much during that time about being a mom, raising babies, changing poopie diapers, clipping fingernails to life lessons. You were a friend, mentor and became like family to me. You held me in my darkest hour and I'll always remember you! You were one of the hardest working women I've ever known. You always put others before yourself and it was an honor to have known you. Heaven has truly gained an angel!
My heart is sad today, but finding comfort in a lifetime of great memories of my Aunt Sandra! I am remembering her great sense of humor, that wonderful laugh, and being such a joy!
Sandra was a great person and such a family oriented individual whom loved her husband and children as much as anyone I have ever known. She always had high energy and spunk. I enjoyed growing up with Sandra and our other cousins back in the fifty's and sixty's. There were so many of us back then each time we all got together it was a fun time for all. Sandra was great to be around because of her great personality and warmth. I will miss our conversations and her smile.
I worked with Sandra at Spring Hill for the past 12 years. Over my career in several businesses, I have never had a better friend. No matter what was on her plate, she not only found time to help me with a problem or an opportunity, she went out of her way to see that I had all the information I needed to serve the family that I was trying to help. She had a servant's heart. Helen and I shared many a bowl of banana pudding with her and i will miss the chocolate pies!!!! God has called her home. He only takes the best. We will treasure the memories.

Sandra was my bowling buddy. I bowled with her and Paul every Tuesday night for years. He was a great coach and she was a great second mom to me. She was always doing things for me - making a cake, having the kids over at Halloween, buying the kids so much Christmas that I practically had to make a second trip to get it all home. But most of all, she was a great listener that made me feel loved. I will miss her deeply.
