I was Rose’s neighbor in Riverwalk. She knocked on my door and introduced herself after I moved in in 2007. We became great friends despite the 20 years difference in our ages. We enjoyed many many dinners together, either at her house or I’d mostly have her over and I also would take her shopping and to the movies. She loved seeing my dogs too. She was great company. She was the dearest, kindest woman. I spent some time playing Mexican dominoes w her and her boyfriend, Robert, who was very sweet and generous to her. I was thrilled she found him and had those extra years of happiness. She lived alone and didn’t see much of anyone else. I know she always missed her husband and he was the love of her life. I always kept a check on her, even after I moved back to PA in 2014 but lost track of her when she went into a home. I thought of her this evening for some reason and found her obituary which saddened me deeply. I realize she had dementia so I am glad she is at peace. I truly loved Rose. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren. Love you always, Rose!!! Helena Nesbitt
