Mrs. Rosa M. 'Rose' Blankenship's Obituary
Rosa M. ‘Rose’ Blankenship, 90, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2020. Born December 20, 1929 in Bocas del Toro, Panama, she was the daughter of the late Emmanuel ‘Slim’ Wong and Edna Wong.
Rose was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a master seamstress who made her daughter’s wedding dress by hand and often made clothing for her grandchildren. Mrs. Blankenship was a Precinct Registrar for the Davidson County Elections Board. Rose never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew her. She was a devoted Christian who remained faithful to the end.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Robert R. Blankenship.
She is survived by her children Robert (Lori) Blankenship, Jr, Patti (Mike Worsham) Kirby, Rick Blankenship, and Ron (Kathy) Blankenship; grandchildren Jennifer (Steven) Chaffin, Robert (Mayumi) Blankenship III, Jill Kirby, Kristen (Dale) Mueller, Matthew (Jenny) Blankenship, Drew Blankenship, Cale Blankenship, Wesley Blankenship, Olivia (Andy) Olson, Tyler Blankenship, Jeffrey (Courtney) Blankenship, and Brock Blankenship; great grandchildren Celena, Seth, Ella Claire, Oliver, Dot, Landry, Kaiden, Tessa, Kipton, and Bear.
There will be a private service for her family. Interment will follow at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery 7931 McCrory Lane, Nashville, TN 37221.
