Addien Mobley, age 93, of Savannah, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Alice Spain; her husband, Oscar “Bob” Lee Mobley; two sisters, Gigi Herron and Thelma Purvis; one brother, Morris Spain. She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Wilkerson (David); one son, Gordon Mobley; one sister, Dale Marie Billings (Newt); three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Addien left Nashville at age 21 and went to Miami, FL. To work as a switchboard operator. During that time she met Bob and married him and had two children, Nancy and Gordon. Even though she did not have a drivers license, she took the bus to make sure her children went to Sunday school and church. Upon returning to Nashville, she was a homemaker for her family and children. As a hobby she enjoyed crochet, making blankets, caps and afgans for the orphans home. She loved her family and especially loved family reunions and the buffets and desserts at them and always enjoyed a dessert or two. She was a extremely happy and jolly person. In 2016, Addien relocated to Savannah, TN. to be near her daughter and son in law and began a new adventure in her life. She enjoyed BINGO and the lady’s coffee circle where they each talked about their family’s and enjoyed entertainment and outings. She was loved by all her nursing staff, friends and family and they were by her bedside until she met her savior. Addien was unconditionally loved by ALL. Graveside services will be conducted from the grounds at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 12:00 PM. Arrangements by Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, a Nashville Landmark since 1785 “Where Nashville Comes to Remember”
