Albert Dewey Hale, age 86, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents, Meshach and Lovie Hale; his first wife, Winnie Key Woodard; two sisters, Rena Ruth Pryor, Virginia Joan Hale; three brothers, Lonnie Ray Hale, Jimmy Frances Hale, Robert David Hale. He is survived by his second wife, Joann Herrell Hale; one sister, Carrie H. White (John); a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Dewey was a member of the Edgefield Masonic Lodge and was also a Shriner. He was a long time member of the Ivy Memorial Baptist Church. Dewey loved woodworking and was very skilled in building tables, chairs and curio cabinets just to name a few. He will be missed by all those who knew him and loved him. Visitation for Dewey will be held on Monday, July 6, 2020 from Noon until 7 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN, 37216. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 from the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, a Nashville landmark since 1785 “Where Nashville Comes to Remember”
Friends and visitors are required to wear a mask at all times in accordance with the Metro Nashville Department of Health Guidelines for COVID-19 while inside the building and at the cemetery.
