Mrs. Altie Creola Adcock's Obituary
Mrs. Altie Creola Adcock age 100 passed away Tuesday March 8, 2016 after a brief illness. Born March 2, 1916 in Smith County, she was the daughter of the late William and Georgia McKinney Green. She is also preceded in death by her husband; Archie Adcock, two sisters; Dorothy Hollis, Mattie Mathews and five brothers; Lester Green, Jim Green, Bill Green, Clarence Green, and Herman Green.
Mrs. Adcock is survived by daughter; Bobbie Gentry, son; Vernon Adcock, three grandchildren; Vernon “Pee Wee” Adcock, Vickie (Tom) Norris, Kim (Jeff) Carroll, two great-grandchildren; Katie Norris, Jenna Carroll, and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Adcock was a member of Trinity Freewill Baptist Church and was a retired switch board operator from Metropolitan Government and retired a second time from EDS at the age of 83.
Visitation will be 2:00pm until 8:00pm Thursday at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Friday with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon at Spring Hill Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Darnell officiating. Interment will follow at the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery with Brian Freels, Tom Norris, Pee Wee Adcock, Jeff Carroll, James Scott Frazier and Byron Smith serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Green, Tom Allen Dulworth, Jeff Darnell and Caleb Anderson.
