Ms. Alyne R. Gundlach's Obituary
Ms. Alyne R. Gundlach, age 95, passed away December 29, 2015. She was born May 5, 1920 in Nashville, TN to the late Edwin Ruthven and Ettha Rutherford. Preceded in death by her son, George Christian Gundlach, III and brother, E.R. Rutherford. She is survived by her son, Charles Gundlach (Patricia); sister, Ann Rutherford Sparks; grandchildren Rachel Lynn Lambert (Jason) and Charles Duke Gundlach (Ericka); great-grandchildren Ariel Lambert, Sierra Lynn Lambert, Samantha Paige Lambert, Charles Dylan Gundlach and Gabriel Martin Gundlach.
Alyne served her country in the US Navy. After her service time, she raised her children and went back to earn her Masters degree in Library Science. She was a business librarian for the Metro Government for many years.
A graveside service will be Saturday, January 2, 2016, 1:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Cemetery with military honors. Active pallbearers will be Chad Gundlach, Edwin Rutherford, Clate Reed, Trent Lee, Sturgis Thompson, and Tristan Lee. Visitation will be Friday, January 1st 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216, 615-865-1101, www.springhillfh.com.
