Amanda Renee Mayes Jennings' Obituary
Amanda Renee Mayes Jennings was born on December 18th, 1959, in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Maurice and Shirley Nixon Mayes. She was a 1977 graduate of East Robertson High School where she attended Springfield Vocational School and received her clerical skills, which became her profession. She, like her mom, was a very accomplished pianist and used her talent to serve the churches she attended over the years. She was saved and baptized into Parkwood Missionary Baptist Church as a child. She was a Vols fan through and through.
She was married to Randall Thomas Faulk and that marriage resulted in three children: Jessica Shawn Faulk, Bobbie Lee Faulk, and Randall Thomas Faulk.
Renee was welcomed into the angel choir on Saturday, March 4th, 2023, and will be missed by the family and friends she left behind to rejoice in heaven. "Sing mama, sing."
In addition to her beloved parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Bobbie Lee Faulk, grandson James, and brother Matt Nixon.
She is survived by her brothers Randy Mayes (Debbie) and Jamie Nixon (Annah); sisters LeAnne Mayes Dodson (Marty), and Christi Nixon Kramer (Ronnie); children Jessica Shawn Faulk and Randall Thomas Faulk; grandchildren Patrick, Jordan, Trey, Triston, Robert Jr., Tyler, Christopher, and Kearstin; great-grandson Riley; best friend Mary Ann; and a host of extended family and friends.
The family will receive guests and relatives for visitation on Monday, March 13th, 2023, from four o'clock until eight o'clock in the evening, and on Tuesday, March 14th, 2023, from twelve o'clock until two o'clock in the afternoon until the chapel service time at two o'clock in the afternoon at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216.
