Andrew "Andy" C. Tanksley's Obituary
Andrew Clarke Tanksley
Born December 7, 1965 left us on August 8, 2017
in a quiet still moment he went to join the angels and left hearts grieving beyond words.
he sang this to his mother ' Oh Lord I want to be in that number when the saints go marching in'....and she joined him in song a few days before he said 'Mother I've turned the corner'....I knew what he meant although I felt the road was stretching out gently waiting for him and we were headed home...
Andrew was a big man, loved so many things, his heart was as big as could be, he could engage someone in conversation on so many subjects, he would come to the top when he had someone to chatter with, never enough time. God has him now and I know He's at peace and no pain. the pain is and always will be in our hearts. He is survived by his mother Dixie, his sister, Mitzi Bond and a brother, Roy, Jr......he is predeceased by his father, Roy Tanksley, Sr., grandparents, Gordon and Novella Tanksley and William Hooper and Mary Rice. He's joined the angels he sang about. Wait for us, Andy, we will see you again......
