Ann Marie Brush Barber March 5, 1930 – June 5, 2020
Ann Marie Brush Barber was born March 5, 1930 to Opal Cayce Brush and Iva Lucille Anderson Brush in Nashville, Tennessee. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William (Mo) Barber and her sister, Betty Brush Gilpin. She is survived by her children Pat Anderson and Craig Barber; grandchildren, Nathan Barber (Becky), Brett Anderson (Angela), Caleb Barber, and Paige Anderson; and great-grandchildren, Garland and Margeaux Barber.
Ann was a 1949 graduate of Isaac Litton High School. She remained close to her high school friends until her death. She retired from Sears Roebuck and Company in 1992 after 37 years of service. Retirement did not slow her down. She greatly enjoyed attending all activities of her beloved grandchildren. She worked tirelessly on behalf her Sassy Seniors social group, the Sears Retiree Group, her Alive Hospice Support group, and the Morningside Women’s Club. Most recently, she enjoyed her new Circle of Friends at Belmont Village Assisted Living.
Ann was hardworking, smart, sassy, and humorous. She dedicated her life to her family and friends. She made all our lives richer – she was a friend to all.
