Ann Husband's Obituary
Ann Joyner Husband, 90, died October 14, 2012. “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” Proverbs 31:25Preceded in death by her husband, Harry (Hus) Husband, her parents, Edward Owen Joyner & Vivian Waller Joyner, brother, Ned Joyner, son Bill Husband, and grandson, Benjamin Husband. Survived by sons Hunter (Rosemary) Husband, Woodie (Bitsy) Husband, daughter, Fran Husband (Mike) Woods, daughter in law, Marcia Husband; twelve grandchildren, Heather Husband Buffkin (Craig), Hailey Husband Hirst (Mark), Mary Beth Husband Caldwell (Andrew), Ann Husband Wood (Tad), Will Husband, John (Laura) Husband, Grace Husband Kopf (Jim), Michael (Paige) Woods, Andrew Husband, Leah Woods Loucks (Josh), Mary Hunter Husband and Braden Woods; eighteen great grand children. Also survived by one sister, Judy Joyner Maddux and sister in law, Dorothy Arnold. Mrs. Husband graduated from Issac Litton High School in 1940, attended George Peabody College where she was a member of Pi Gamma Chi sorority. A member of Fannie Battle Day Home, Centennial Club, Friends of Cheekwood and Ladies’ Hermitage Association. Ann was an avid golfer, tennis player, bridge player, Alabama fan and Braves fan. She never met a stranger and her heart and her home were always open with love and generosity. Always giving to each of us, gently and unconditionally, with open arms. Volunteered at Community Care Fellowship, FCA and was a member of Hobson UMC most of her life and later joined Johnsons Chapel UMC in Brentwood, TN. A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, October 18, 2012, 2:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville with Phil Husband officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Thursday 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Will Husband, John Husband, Andrew Husband, Michael Woods, Braden Woods, Josh Loucks, Craig Buffkin, Andrew Caldwell, Mark Hirst, Tad Wood and Jim Kopf. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. The family would also like to express appreciation to Bonnie Hall of Trusted Caregivers, Dana Walker and Angie Coleman with Willowbrook Hospice, Inc., and Dana McLucas with Griswold Home Care for their wonderful loving hands and caring hearts.
