Annelise Bright's Obituary
Annelise Bright of Ooltewah, TN passed away July 13th, 2022 at the age of 66. She is survived by her husband Peter, her two children, Michael and Sarah, and extended family.
She was born Ioana Popescu on November 25th, 1955 in Iasi, Romania to the late Ioan Popescu and Suzana Adamescu Popescu.
Growing up, Annelise had a passion for and studied linguistics, ultimately teaching French at the collegiate level. She married her husband, Peter, in 1988, and in 2000 they moved to the Unites States with their children. She continued to pursue her passion for teaching languages, and studied and taught courses at University of Tennessee – Knoxville, and University of Oklahoma in Norman. She had a passion for music and she played the piano. She was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church in Chattanooga, and her faith in God, in His Word, and in His salvation remained unwavering throughout her entire life. This gift she joyfully shared with and passed on to her family.
Annelise will be greatly missed by her family and good friends. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 19th at 1:00 PM at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
