Ms. Annie Laura Barrett's Obituary
Annie Laura Renegar Barrett, age 100, born September 24, 1913 in Tullhoma, TN, passed away on August 11, 2014.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barrett was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Barrett; brothers, G.W. and Henry Renegar; sister, Willie Bryan Cain; and grandson, Jason Paul Barrett.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Ann (James) Brazier; sons, Richard Allen (Bambi) Barrett and Kenneth Jerry Barrett; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two nieces, and one nephew.
Mrs. Barrett owned and operated the Yarn Barn in Madison for over thirty years.
The family will receive friends and visitors on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, from 4pm to 8pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Additional visitation will take place on Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 9am until 10am. A Celebration of Life service to honor Mrs. Barrett will take place on Thursday, August 14, 2014, at 10am from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, with Terry Brazier, Tony Brazier, Richie Barrett, William Barrett, Travis Barrett, and Michael Chaffee serving as pallbearers.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the caretakers at Gentiva Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to Mrs. Barrett. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Gentiva Hospice www.gentiva.com/hospice.
