Ms. Annie Elizabeth Campbell, age 80, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday July 21, 2020. She was born on April 19, 1940 in Nashville to the late William and Nannie Divens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Mary S. Moore and Willa F. Green (David), her brother Charles M. Jones and her son-in-law Sammy Rutherford. She is survived by her children Yvette Rutherford, Lupita Campbell, and Alfonzo Divens, her sister Robbie L. E. Conwell, her grandchildren Alfonzo Taylor (Crystal), Byron Campbell, and YáKeishia Campbell, 19 great-grandchildren, her cousin Eugene Gilbert, and a host of nieces and nephews.The family would also like to give special recognition to Sandra Morrow, one of Ms. Campbell’s nurses and caregivers who Ms. Campbell often called her “other daughter.” The family wishes to thank Sandra for always going above and beyond, and ensuring that Ms. Campbell received the best care possible at all times.
Ms. Campbell was a kind, giving, and thoughtful person who simply loved life. She always had a smile on her face and loved to talk and laugh. She was an amazing person and a wonderful mother. She always helped anyone she could whenever she was able. Ms. Campbell enjoyed traveling, cooking, and especially baking cakes.
Ms. Campbell was a fighter, and despite all she went through, she never stopped fighting. Her family feels so blessed to have had her for the time they did, and they will carry her memory and that strong spirit in their hearts forever.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held for Ms. Campbell in the Spring Hill Funeral Home Chapel. The service date and time are being finalized and will be shared on this obituary once completed.
