Mrs. Annie Louise Staggs' Obituary
Mrs. Annie Louise Staggs, age 83, of Nashville, passed away on April 11, 2014. The Nashville native was the daughter of John O’Saile and Velma Melton. Louise was immensely proud to be one of Nashville’s first “meter maids” in 1958. She was an ardent crafter, making dolls, quilts, doilies, and fancy pillows, all of which she sold at the local flea market.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Fred W. Staggs in 1995, and her niece, Tina Benton in 2012. She is survived by her son, Jim Staggs; sister, Georgia Hobbs; and nieces, Louise Nipper, Carmaleatta Cotton, and Eloise Leach.
A graveside service shall take place at historic Spring Hill Cemetery on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 11:00am, with family members and friends officiating. Flowers to honor Mrs. Staggs will be provided at graveside. Arrangements have been entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, www.springhillfh.com.
