Mr. Anthony L. Griffin's Obituary
Tony is survived by his loving wife Carolyn Griffin, Children Daughter Donna (Donald) Coleman, Daughter Samantha (Norman) Crawford, Son David (Brittney) Donegan. He is also survived by his three Grandchildren, Angela Allen, Hailee Crawford, And Hunter Crawford along with three great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. Brother Glenn (Opal) Griffin, Sister JoAnne Dial, and Sister Mona Coleman. He is preceded in death by Father Raburn Griffin, Mother Mary Coleman, Brother Noah Griffin, Brother Ralph Griffin, and Sister Betty Griffin.
Tony was born on May 29, 1947 in Germantown, Indiana to Raburn L. and Mary J. Griffin. After graduating from Tennessee Preparatory School in Nashville, TN he served his country honorably in the United State Marine Corps where he earned many honors. Though Tony was many things in his life the most important to him was being a husband, father to his children, and the best paw paw anyone could ask for. Tony will be remembered forever through the impact he has made on the life of his family, and in the hearts of anyone who had the honor of knowing him. For a man who gave his all to his family even when he did not have to he will forever live on in our hearts.
A funeral is scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday November 7, 2016 at Springhill Funeral Home in Nashville, TN, His son David Donegan will officiate the ceremony, and all are welcome to attend and celebrate Tony’s life. The family would like to thank St. Thomas West and The Veterans Hospital in Nashville, TN for their efforts and care of their father.
