Audria Lee Bain's Obituary
Audria Lee “Me-Maw” Bain, age 84 of Nashville, passed away September 6, 2012. She was born in Norene, TN on August 4, 1928. She moved to Nashville at a young age and married Edgar E. Bain on January 4, 1947. She worked at the B & W Cafeteria for over 15 years, her career there beginning in 1960. After her time at B & W, she spent most of her time caring for her grandchildren, gardening and feeding anyone who came to her home. She was an active member of Western Hills Church of Christ and above all enjoyed life. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edgar; son, Johnnie Edward Bain; her brothers, Billy, Thomas and Ralph Smith; and granddaughter, Jerri Dee Bain. She is survived by her son Jerry (Diane) Bain; daughter, Barbara (Kenneth) Brown; brothers, Orvil (Jane) and Wade (Sandra) Smith; grandchildren, Jonathan Bain, Angie, Michael and Crystal Brown; great-grandchildren, Mikayla and Arianna Brown; and neice, Brenda Nokes. A celebration of “Me-Maws” life will be conducted at 11 A.M. Monday, September 10, 2012 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Saturday, September 8, 2012, from 2 P.M. until 6 P.M. on Sunday, September 9, 2012 and from 10 A.M. until the time of service, Monday at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A special thanks to the staff at Belcourt Terrace Nursing Home and to St. Lukes Community Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Western Hills Church of Christ.
