REED, Elizabeth Age 89 of Nashville passed away May 7, 2021, only 8 days shy of 90 years old, having lived a long and wonderful life. She died quietly with her son Dan holding her hand and with a pastor and caregiver by her side. She was able to say goodbye to her daughter Anita and some close friends in the final hours. Elizabeth loved to help people and did so her whole life, sometimes without even knowing the impact she was having on peoples lives. She led a support group for people with depression for over 10 years and continued to be involved helping people in need until the very end. The world was a better place because she was in it.
Mrs. Reed was born May 15, 1931. She graduated from East High School in 1949 and went to work for the phone company. She met the love of her life Leamon, in that same year while attending church and they married three years later on June 8, 1952. They stayed happily married for 61 years until his passing in 2013 at which time she moved to CA to live with her son. Elizabeth raised two wonderful children and is survived by her daughter Anita, son Dan and grandchild Elliot.
