Barbara Jean Adams' Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ms. Barbara Jean Adams on May 18th, 2023, in Smyrna, Tennessee.
Barbara was born on August 26th, 1951, in Aberdeen, Mississippi to Fred Belue and Eva White Belue. After graduating high school and joining the work force shortly after, she married the love of her life Tracy Adams, and they welcomed their son Gregory in 1971.
Barbara had a passion for baking and delighted countless palates with her culinary creations. Her kitchen was a sanctuary where she unleashed her creative spirit and turned ordinary ingredients into extraordinary works of art. She had a special fondness for two cakes that became the stuff of legend: her famous coconut cake and her delectable lemon cake. Her talent for baking was unrivaled, and her desserts were a testament to her dedication and love.
However, Barbara didn't just pour her heart into her culinary masterpieces; she also poured it into her relationships. Above all, her family held the most special place in her heart. She was a devoted mother, and a wonderful wife. She was a true epitome of kindness and touched the lives of all those she encountered. In addition to her family, she had an unwavering affection for dogs. Whether it was her loyal companion by her side or a furry friend in need, she had a remarkable ability to connect with these creatures and shower them with boundless affection. Her beloved Beagles, Chihuahuas, and Yorkie Terriers were her furry babies through and through.
Her sweet spirit and enduring love will live on in those who knew and loved her, and she will be deeply missed.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Eva, and her brother Freddie Balue. She is survived by her son Gregory Michael (Cassondra) Adams, aunt Opal Griffin, and a host of extended family and dear friends.
