It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Caruthers Bertoldi.
Barbara “Bobbie Jean” Bertoldi left this world to be with the Heavenly Father on October 1, 2021 at age 87. Bobbie Jean was preceded in death by her son Michael D (Joanne) Bertoldi, brothers Harold Lee “Buddy” Caruthers, Howard Neil Jr. “Buster” Caruthers, and sister Dorothy Ann “Dot” Caruthers Martin. Bobbie Jean is survived by her husband Michael J Bertoldi, sons Timothy J (Christy) Bertoldi, David A (Catherine) Bertoldi, and daughter Laura-Lee Nicole Bertoldi, six grandchildren (Daniel, David, Briana, Morgan, Alexis, Logan) and many nieces and nephews.
Bobbie Jean was born on April 16, 1934 in Nashville, TN to Howard Neil Caruthers and Laura Belle Toombs. Raised in North Nashville (Germantown), Bobbie met the love of her life at a YMCA dance in 1957 and was happily married for 63 years. Bobbie Jean was a lifelong follower of Christ, loved to dance, and was blessed with a pleasant personality that was contagious to everyone she met. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to her. Rejoice and be glad, heaven is a better place with Bobbie Jean.
