Barbara Rice Clements' Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Barbara Jean Rice Clements on September 7th, 2023, in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born on March 27th, 1934, to Herbert Scott and Velma Partee Scott.
Barbara was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was adored in every way by her family. No one ever had a negative word to say about Barbara. She was jovial and kind to everyone she met. She was married to her loving husband Joel Clements for 40 years. She had a true gift for music and had learned how to play the piano at the tender age of 4 years old. She had a heart for animals, especially her dogs, which were her fur babies. Her sweet spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Velma. She is survived by her husband Joel S. Clements; sons Gerald Rice, Sr. (Deborah) and Scott Rice; grandchildren Michelle Rice and Gerald Oliver Rice (Jamie); great-grandchildren Samantha Rice and Colin Rice; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
Barbara will be laid to rest at Historic Spring Hill Cemetery on Wednesday, September 13th, 2023, at eleven o’clock in the morning. Those who wish to attend are advised to meet at Spring Hill Funeral Home at ten thirty in the morning and follow our staff in procession to Barbara’s final resting place.
Arrangements for Mrs. Clements are entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, “Where Nashville Comes to Remember.”
