Mrs. Barbara Lee Emmons' Obituary
Barbara Lee Emmons, of Hermitage, passed away on October 23, 2015. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee on August 31, 1933. Mrs. Emmons was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many.
From a very early age, Barbara was a caretaker. She had a strength about her that enabled her to shoulder many of life's harshest times. She gave of herself without limits, and was the sweet and sassy cornerstone of the family. Her passing is a tremendous loss, and she will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Colonel Bobby Emmons; daughter, Tammy Strane; brother, Victor Robertson; and sisters, Betty Bryant and Patricia Frady.
She is survived by her children, Donna (Jim) Beardsworth and Randy Beaty; sister, Judy McDonald; grandchildren, Misty (Seth) McDowell, Matthew Strane, Jacob Strane, Randall Beaty, Ryan Shantel Beaty, and Patrick Beaty; as well as ten great-grandchildren.
