Mr. Barry Hopkins' Obituary
Barry Kevin Hopkins, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 in Nashville, Tennessee. Barry was born on October 15, 1952 in Nashville, Tennessee, to Charles Hopkins and Bonnie Estelle Spurlock.
Barry was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and the UT Vols during his spare time. He can be remembered as being a simple man that enjoyed the simple things in life. Barry was always telling jokes, and he loved playing Santa for the children of family and friends. He cherished the life that he had been blessed with.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Paige Hopkins.
Barry is survived by his daughter, Beth Thielman (John); sister, Vicki Metzgar (Susan Johnston); step-sister, Edna Wagoner Pulley; cousins, Phillip Hicks, Jeffery Hicks, Lisa Spurlock Smart, Jackie Spurlock Weaver, Ricky Spurlock and James R. Spurlock, III. He is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, April 15, 2019 at 2 pm with Father Gregory Hohnholt officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 12 pm until 2 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
