Mrs. Bertha Owena Horner's Obituary
Bertha Owena Horner, age 91 of Nashville, Went to be with the Lord June 17, 2013. Mrs. Horner was born March 2, 1922 in Nashville, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Bly and Christina Malchow Griffis; husband, Glenn E. Horner and sister, Alma Lilian Fannin. She is survived by her daughters, Teresa (Gene) Parrish and Jeanette Wiseman; grandchildren, Lee Parrish, Chris Wiseman, Matthew Parrish and Vincent Wiseman; great-grandchildren, Jacob Wiseman, Jared Parrish, Joshua Weisman, Zac, Caleb and Jayden Parrish. A Celebration of Mrs. Horner’s life will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, June 20, 2013 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Bumbalough and Rev. Mark Allmond officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park with family serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Wednesday, June 19 at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
