Bessie Hux Tyler's Obituary
TYLER, Bessie Hux “Bess” of Madison passed away on Monday, March 29, 2010 after a long illness; she was 82. Mrs. Tyler was born in Enfield, NC on December 16, 1927. Preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Benjamin Charles Tyler. She and her husband were active members of the Lutheran Church, avid Square Dancers for 33 years, supporters of various charitable organizations. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Lucille Sheler of Enfield, NC and brother, Robert Hux of Virginia Beach, VA. Survived by daughters Paula Tyler of Tallahassee, FL and Suzanne (Kent) McClinton of Old Hickory, TN; grandchildren, Justin, Kathy and Rachel McClinton. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 from 5 to 8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home 5110 Gallatin Rd., Nashville, TN. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 11AM First Evangelical Lutheran Church 113 Eighth Ave. South Nashville, TN with Pastor Dan Phifer officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Lighthouse Christian Camp, 252 Kingdom Rd. Smithville, TN 37166-7277. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville, TN.
