Mrs. Betty Faye Butrum's Obituary
Betty Faye Butrum, 84, of Winder, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. Born October 9, 1938, in Cullman, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Olen Leroy Handley and Opal Louella Moore Handley.
As a young woman, she worked as a secretary and accountant for her father’s business. After becoming a mother, she dedicated her life to being a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved music, especially singing, and was active in the church choir and gospel singings in the southeast.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Everett Butrum; brother Billy Joe Handley; daughter-in-law Dawne Lynne Miller.
She is survived by her sons Tony Butrum, Alan (Peggy) Miller, and Chris Miller; grandchildren Anthony (Emily) Jewel Butrum II, Alan Christopher Butrum, Emilee Joy Butrum, and Alex (Sarah) Weitemeyer, and great-grandchildren Grayson Weitemeyer, Silas Weitemeyer, Presley Joy Butrum, Nancy Lee Butrum.
Visitation will be Friday, January 20, from 11 am until 1:00 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A graveside service will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
