Mrs. Betty Jean Lassiter, age 82 of Madison, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2019. She was born on February 28, 1937 in Old Hickory, Tennessee to the late Bee and Myrtle Holleman. Betty, or “Betty Mae” as most knew her, was a spitfire. She was very active for her 82 years, and was very independent. She was outgoing, talkative, and an honest, straight-shooter. She was also very gentle, motherly, and loving as well. Although she never had any children of her own, she loved her niece and nephews like they were her own, and they say that she was like a mother figure to them. Betty Mae loved fishing, and family get-togethers as well.
