Betty Lyle Meador's Obituary
Celebrating the Spirited Life of Betty Lyle Meador
July 25th, 1931 - December 8th, 2025
We celebrate the beautiful life of Betty Lyle Meador, known simply as Betty, who was born in Nashville, Tennessee and filled 94 years with adventure and laughter. Adventurous, funny, and outspoken, she delighted in playing tricks and joking with family and friends.
Betty found daily joy in watching game shows, racing contestants to each answer, and tackling word searches with sharp focus. Her love for animals shone just as brightly, and caring for them always brought her fresh energy and warmth.
She shared that spark with her family, turning ordinary moments into happy memories. Betty is lovingly remembered by her daughter Tammy (Jason) Kimbrough, granddaughter Lacey Kimbrough, grandson Benjamin Kimbrough, and sister Susan Valentine.
Betty now reunites with those who passed before her: father Virgil Henderson, mother Birdie Smithson, husband Weldon Meador Jr., and sisters Virginia Lundy and Helen Pickle. Their stories together remain cherished and strong.
We will keep celebrating Betty each time a puzzle is solved, a quick joke brings laughter, or kindness is shown to an animal. Her lively spirit stays with us, urging everyone to greet each day with humor, curiosity, and an open heart.
