“Oh, joy!”
Born in Erin, Tennessee, Betty Jo Holmes Mosley, lovingly known as Mimi, grew up trusting that every day is held in God’s hands. She leaned on prayer and Scripture, traits that shaped her patient, compassionate spirit and guided her through each season of life.
Mimi’s morning routine was simple and sacred: a cup of coffee on the front porch, quiet conversation with the Lord, and the song of nature around her. These moments strengthened her faith and gave her the peace she later shared so freely with others.
Her grandchildren called her a safe harbor. She listened without judgment, celebrated every milestone, and modeled steadfast hope; through her, they learned what it means to walk humbly with God and love one another well.
Books, ballgames, and beaches filled Mimi’s days with delight. She cheered at every softball, baseball, and college football game, and she treasured family trips to Panama City Beach, Florida, thanking the Creator for sun-kissed days and the beauty of the sea.
Mimi finished her earthly race in Nashville, Tennessee, resting in the same faith that sustained her. May the God she served welcome her home along with EO, Ida, Cecil, Willa Mae, Papa Ray, JR, and Chris, and may all who loved her continue to live out the joy she proclaimed. Rest in peace, faithful servant.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children Tammy Mosley and Rick (Irene) Mosley and Ricky (Martha) Potter, grandchildren, Stark, Ellie, Sofia, Penelope, Fiona, and Landry, and a plethora of loving nieces and nephews.
