Mrs. Betty C. Pitt's Obituary
PITT, Betty C. age 82 of Madison passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013. She was preceded in death by her sons; Terry Ray Pitt and Donnie Pitt; brothers; Bob and Joe Culbreath. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved boating on Dale Hollow Lake. She owned several successful businesses in the Nashville area, notably The Hearth Restaurant. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jack Pitt; grandchildren, Laine Barnett, Benjamin Pitt and Melissa Pitt; great grandchild, Xavier Barnett; brothers, Fred (Anna) Culbreath, Jack (Doris) Culbreath; sisters, Sarah (Harold) Tate and Sharon (Larry) Summers. Several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. And her loving poodle, J J. Her family will receive friends from 4 – 8 P.M. on Wednesday, May 8 at Spring Hill Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 9 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Robert Riggs officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
